Frequently Asked Questions
All Comers Track is a series of summer track meets designed for runners of all ages and ability levels. We would love to have you join us!!
💻 How do I register?
This must be completed online ONCE per season. All participants MUST be registered. It is $10/person for the entire season. Ages 5 and under are FREE, but must be registered to get a bib.
When can I register?
You can register at any point in the season! However, registration is only available online.
🏃 Which events can I run?
The order of events changes each week. So, be sure to check the flyer schedule. Each person is able to run as many events as they want each week.
🕰️ How do I know when an event will start?
Just like the schedule, the timing of each event depends on the week; how many competitors there are and how many heats of each event. First, second and third calls will be given over the loud speaker. Sprint races (100m, 200m, 400m and relays) are run by age group starting with the youngest. Depending on the number of competitors, distance races are generally run in 2 heats with the fastest heat first.
🎽Where do I get a race number (bib)?
Upon registration, you will receive a bib onsite at the concession stand. Your bib is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. If you forget your bib for a meet, you will get a wristband to indicate that you are registered. Bib or no bib, remember your number. All results are recorded with bib numbers instead of names.
⏱️How does timing work?
All events are hand timed and subject to human error. Not all times are recorded in the meet results. Heats for ages 8 and under and not recorded. Check the giant clock to see your final time as you cross the line.
🔗 Where do I get my results?
Results sheets are posted outside the concessions stand throughout the meet. All results are recorded with bib numbers instead of names. They are also added to the Results page on our website. You can explore results all the way back to the 2018 season.
⚠️ Safety
We strive to make All Comers Track a safe and welcoming environment to all. We are able to use Zionsville Community School facilities with the understanding of following safety guidelines. Therefore it is each parent's responsibility to watch their child. Stay off the track, especially lane 1, during races. Do NOT climb on the football goal posts or hurdles.
🪑What are the seating options?
You are welcome to sit in the bleachers or bring chairs or a blanket. You can also stand around the fence that lines the track to see and cheer on your friends and family.
What concessions are available?
Freeze pops are generously provided by our sponsors. Unfortunately, snacks, water, candy, etc are NOT for sale. So, please pack accordingly.
🚻 Are there bathrooms?
Yes. Both men's and women's bathrooms are available.
🌩️ What if it looks like it's going to storm or is storming?
If weather causes the meet to be cancelled, it will be posted on the website and facebook page. This is extremely rare!
🙋♀️ How can I get involved in helping ACT?
If you are a high school student or older and would like to volunteer, fill out the sign up genius. You can earn NHS hours and apply for the All Comers Track Scholarship.
