Talk about ending the season on a high note. Just like the toasty temps, the competition was on fire. Three records were broken on the hottest All Comers Meet of the season...guess we were saving the best for last. What is even more impressive is that Odd Distance Night only comes once a season. So, these records are even more difficult to break because there is only one chance per year. Bryan Lindsay broke the Men's 6-year 2400m record by three seconds, with a time of 7:09.45. Aundrea Busse broke the Women's 2400m record from 2021 by over 9 seconds, with a time of 8:45.09. Congratulations to both Bryan and Aundrea for awesome efforts all season! The record board is also adding a new event, the 4x200m relay. The men's winning time for the was 2:35.77.

Another exciting night on the track! Bib 254 defended his 400m dash title; winning in a time of 56.24. Aundrea Busse ran a strong 1600 and was less than 5 seconds away from the woman's record that was broken earlier this season. There aren't many results to post for the week due to the weather. The storms rolled in and it poured during the 100m dash which forced the cancellation of the 800m run and 4x100m relay. We were happy that it blew over giving the Zionsville boys team an opportunity to race the 2 mile.

Olympic Night was a hit! Hope all competitors were able to get their medal. It was great to see the Zionsville Ladies Cross Country competing on the track. We were also thankful to those who assisted with timing. We had both a sprint domination and a distance domination.
The Triple Crown Award goes to bib 254 for winning the 1500m and 800m runs and 400m dash in times of 4:25.41, 2:13.7 and 55.87 respectively! Long Jump
June 22nd
Never a dull moment at All Comers Track. The start of the meet was delayed by a few minutes due to some ill-timed sprinklers targeting the infield. The sprinklers also caused the cancellation of the long jump. We appreciate the flexibility of the competitors and timing help from ZHS students!
Week 3 was another busy night on the track. There were 2 heats of the first event, the 800m run, but due to the number of competitors, we didn't record times for heat 2. The 100m dash remains the most popular event with 10 heats that were recorded.
Our first record of the season was broken! Congratulations to Katie Green with a time of 5:29.58 in the 1600m run. She She was just shy of the mile record two weeks ago. Way to persevere, Katie! With 4 heats of the 4x100m relay; it remains a fan favorite. We had a small but dedicated field stick around for the final event of the night, the 3200m run. Impressive solo front running by Aundrea Busse, who ran the mile earlier in the meet. Rae battled solo for a few laps to wrap up the meet. Great work to all competitors! Hope to see you next week for some fast times and cool weather :)

June 15th - Relay Night
Another extremely busy night at All Comers with good running weather. The 1600m run wasn't split into separate heats so the field was 35 competitors. With such close finishing times, we missed recording some of the bib numbers. There were three heats of both relays, the 4x100 and 4x400. We originally intended to include the 4x200m relay, but didn't have enough time. So, that event will be run later in the season. Two heats of the 800m run saw over 50 competitors in the 2 lap race! By the end of the meet, there were still 12 committed runners ready to take on arguably the best race of the night, the 8 laps of the 3200m run! Thank you to all of the extremely helpful Zionsville High School student volunteers.

june 8th - Opening Night
We couldn't have asked for better weather for opening night! Great for fast times on the track. Lots of competitors this week! The first female in the mile was just shy of the record with a time of 5:25. Since the mile is only run once all season, it is a tough record to break. Abby Horn holds the mile record with a 5:22 from 2014 in addition to the 1200m run with a 3:52.25 and the 1500m run with a 4:56.91. There were thirteen recorded heats of the 100m dash and three heats of the 4x100m relay. Bib 351 was the only runner sub-12 seconds with a 11.90 in the 100m dash. Two runners were sub-60 in the 400m dash. Bib 359 won with a time of 57.31, beating bib 97 by .65 seconds. 2:08.1 was the winning time in the 800m dash. The third heat of the 4x100m was extremely competitive between the two teams. The lane 4 team edged out the team in lane 3 by .35 seconds. The 200m dash was won by bib 260 in 26.56. Bib 26 won the 3200m run in a 12:18.
